Hi! I'm Jen. I'm a lot of things. I'm a cook and lover of clean eating. I'm a mother and a wife. I'm a teacher. I'm a photographer. I am an American and an Australian. I am a healthy person living with lymphedema. I am a cancer survivor. I want to share my love for easy healthy food.
My Australian mum-in-law found out about Thermomix from a family member. It took her almost a year to decide to invest. It wasn't long after her investment in a Thermomix that she decided she just couldn't hold it in any more: she loved Thermomix and she had to share that with everyone! She became a demonstrator. |
I was, as she had been, skeptical at first. But as the real food poured forth with what seemed like very little effort, minimal prep and clean up time and an abundance of fresh ingredients, I started to pay attention. With the birth of our son in 2011, we took the plunge into the world of Thermomix in Australia. I use it every day. Smoothies, fresh butter, yogurt, rice, grinding spices, gluten free bread, stock concentrate, risotto, curries, steamed fish and veggies, the list goes on and on and on. To manage my chronic swelling of lymphedema, the Thermomix has been invaluable in keeping my diet clean and keeping my lymphatic system healthy.
The surprising twist with the purchase of the Thermomix has been my husband's interest in cooking. He loves the reliability of the machine and that he can follow a recipe and knows it will turn out right along with the easy clean up and lack of dishes to do when the meal's finished. In our house he makes our son's bulk gluten free meals. Our freezer is always stocked with chicken soup with rice, GF Bolognese, or GF Tuna Mornay. These back up meals mean much less stress at mealtime if we're running a bit late with family dinner!
We've just moved back to The States after 13 years living in Adelaide, South Australia, and I'm so excited that Thermomix is launching in the United States! I've decided to become a demonstrator because I know the communities of Santa Cruz, the Monterey Bay, Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area are going to love this machine that makes eating real food so convenient.
